Meghan + Mike | August 24

The best backyard makeover perfected by the presence of family and friends was the backdrop for Meghan and Mike’s late August wedding. Congratulations, you two! Images captured are by Z for Zara Photography.

It’s clear the wedding party had a great time! Pro tip: let joy be the center of your celebration. Make sure to make space for the personalities of the people you love.

The father of the bride prepared for months in order to transform their property into an event venue. He built a custom gazebo and bar as well as benches and arches for the ceremony. Yard games and lantern centerpieces were also his handiwork.

You all know I am a fan of busting through traditions if they don’t suit you. Instead of Unity Sand, the couple blended their favorite brews during the ceremony. Bottoms up!

Another cute detail? Their sweet pup, Veda also was invited. #dogsatweddings #yesplease

Wanting a classic palette, Meghan’s bouquets featured white dahlias including the queen, Cafe au Lait; lisianthus, a rose look-alike; cream foxglove, my favorite, with it’s little dalmatian dots, and some fragrant eucalyptus. As a sustainable florist, I am proud to say the varieties I chose for their wedding were at least 80% locally-grown!

Cheers to you both, and thank you for having Ediflorial be a part of your celebration.
